General Meeting and Exploitation Workshop
April was an eventful month for the AM2PM project team, featuring two events that fostered collaboration and strategic focus: the first General Meeting and the Exploitation Workshop. These events underscored the importance of strong coordination and forward-thinking strategies in achieving the project’s goals.
On April 1st, 2025, the AM2PM consortium convened online for its first General Meeting, marking an important milestone in the project’s development. This virtual gathering brought together all partners to share updates, discuss the progress, and collaboratively plan the next steps forward.
Each Work Package leader presented their current status, outlining key developments, ongoing activities, and emerging challenges.
Programme Highlights:
Updates from all Work Packages
Strategic discussions on technical progress
Planning of the upcoming steps
The AM2PM consortium also completed its first Exploitation Workshop, hosted by FENIX TNT, the exploitation leader, and led by Michal Klauda. This important session marks a key step in ensuring that the project's research results move beyond the laboratory and create tangible, long-term value in the real world.
During the workshop, partners were guided through a structured process focused on:
Understanding the function, purpose, and objectives of exploitation
Identifying and characterising exploitable results
Planning next steps to bring these innovations closer to market or policy integration
This workshop is part of a broader exploitation strategy that will continue to evolve as the project progresses. It ensures that AM2PM’s scientific advancements will not remain abstract ideas but will fuel practical solutions in advanced manufacturing, smart materials, and sustainability-driven engineering.
The Role of Exploitation in EU-Funded Projects
In the context of EU-funded projects, exploitation refers to the effective use of results within the scope of the research itself and in broader innovation activities. This includes commercial applications such as product development, services, new business models, or contributions to standardisation. Exploitation is vital for extending the life and impact of project outcomes, aligning research excellence with industry needs and societal benefits.
