Call for Applications: Azrieli Fellowships at Technion

Our AM2PM partner, Technion—Israel Institute of Technology, has announced two prestigious Azrieli Fellowship opportunities for international students and young researchers to work closely with leading Israeli researchers and gain valuable experience in world-class academic institutions such as Technion. 

Azrieli International Visiting PhD Fellowship 2025

The Azrieli International Visiting PhD Fellowship offers exceptional international PhD students the opportunity to conduct short-term research in Israel during the Fall 2025 semester. Fellows will work closely with leading Israeli researchers, fostering academic collaboration and global research connections. The fellowship is valued at 12,000 ILS/month for up to four months. Applications are open now and will close on April 22, 2025.

  • Who can apply: PhD students from any country and discipline, enrolled outside of Israel, who have completed at least one year of doctoral studies and have no prior academic experience in Israel. An academic host from an eligible Israeli institution is required.


The Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026-27

The second opportunity is the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship for the 2026–27 academic year. This prestigious program supports outstanding postdocs in all disciplines at Israeli academic institutions. The fellowship offers a generous stipend of 14,000 NIS/month for up to three years. Applications open on September 1, 2025, and close on November 19, 2025.

  • Who can apply: The fellowship is open to international candidates (excluding Israelis) who earned their PhD on or after November 1, 2022, or are expected to defend their dissertation by June 1, 2026. Applicants must not hold any academic degree from an Israeli institution, though past exchange or visiting students are eligible.
