From 21–23 October 2026, partners from across the AM2PM consortium gathered in Bologna, Italy for three days of project updates, technical discussions and collaborative work.
Representatives from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Technical University of Munich, Technical University of Denmark, Eindhoven University of Technology, WASP and FENIX TNT came together, bringing expertise from across the different areas of the project.
Throughout the meeting, partners presented progress across the AM2PM Work Packages, discussed ongoing technical developments and reviewed how activities across the project are progressing. Workshops and joint sessions provided further space to address cross-cutting topics and strengthen coordination between the different technical areas.
A highlight of the meeting was a visit to WASP headquarters, where the consortium took part in a guided tour and explored the company’s work in additive manufacturing. Massimo Moretti, Founder and CEO of WASP, welcomed the AM2PM team and shared the vision behind the company’s technologies and ongoing developments.
The programme then moved to Itaca, part of WASP’s Shamballa site near Imola, where the consortium could see large-scale 3D printing applied in a real architectural setting. The project combines digital fabrication with new approaches to sustainable building and offered a practical perspective on how these technologies can be used in future construction.

Beyond the technical programme, the three days also provided valuable time for informal exchange, helping partners strengthen collaboration across the consortium. The final part of the meeting looked ahead to the next phase of AM2PM, with partners discussing upcoming priorities, milestones and how the different strands of work will continue to come together over the coming months.
Three days in Bologna brought plenty of technical discussion, new ideas and time to reconnect across the consortium. The meeting left the team with a clearer view of the work ahead and renewed momentum as AM2PM continues its journey from additive to predictive manufacturing.
