Hackathon and General Meeting in May
On May 5–6, 2025, the AM2PM project held an online hackathon and a General Meeting. This event brought together all project partners for two days of focused collaboration and strategic discussion. The hackathon challenged participants to explore how robotics, automation, and conventional construction methods can be integrated to improve the design and construction of multi-story buildings.
This collaborative workshop marked an important milestone in the AM2PM project’s roadmap. The goal was to generate ideas for future construction systems that integrate people, machines, and processes in smarter, more efficient, and sustainable ways. Using a reference building and production targets, the partners were divided into four teams, each tasked with developing their own concept for an optimised construction setup.
The hackathon began with an introductory session, followed by intensive teamwork. The next day, each team presented their ideas in a final session that sparked constructive discussions and creative thinking across the consortium. The proposed concepts showcased diverse approaches and innovative robotic and human collaboration workflows. Each team developed innovative configurations to advance collaboration across all AM2PM work packages.
After the hackathon, the AM2PM General Meeting provided a platform for partners to share project updates, discuss upcoming milestones, and plan for future research and development.
